Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is the southernmost of Greece's
beautiful Ionian Islands.
The Venetians, who planted many of the medieval olive groves from which our villas take their name, described
Zakynthos as 'The Flower of the Orient', largely due to its fertile plains and verdant hills.
The Olive Groves villas are located on a hillside overlooking the island's stunning southern coastline, in the
peaceful village of Lithakia.
The villas are ideally designed for eight people, but can accommodate up to ten. Each villa has its own private
heated pool, stylish interiors – including Guy Le Roche bedding, Porcelanosa bathroom suites and the latest
technology – including a plasma screen satellite television.
Your holiday experience will be managed from your arrival to departure by the Manfredas family, who have been
looking after tourists for over 25 years.
We include airport transfers and a daily maid service, with a welcome hamper on arrival. Anything else you
desire - from tours to butlers, chauffeurs and close personal security - can also be arranged.
We can be at your every beck and call or totally invisible, it's your holiday and your choice.
What you will be assured of is a close and personal service that you would have never experienced before, but

04.07.2008 - Update on the Hydroplane
Regarding the operation of the hydroplane, which we have previously reported, the news is-It should be operating within a couple of months.
This, hopefully, means that by the end of August, we should see some routes in operation. The aim is to link our Island with Patras, and the other Ionian islands.
We are hoping to operate services to the Port of Brindesi, in South East Italy.
This news is very encouraging for two reasons. Firstly, Zakynthians will have the opportunity to go along to it’s neighbouring country, without much delay.
Secondly, Tourism will receive a fresh impetus, and it should mean that Italians will be able to visit the Ionian islands, and particularly Zakynthos, much easier. It should also be noted, that the Hydroplane will arrive in Corfu, and from there, depart for Brindesi. This will also shorten the distance covered. Heads of the Company have indicated recently, that there will be two Routes, to Patras and the Ionian islands, and they say that the ticket price will not exceed 50 Euros, based on current data.
Already, the Coast Fund has arranged for the creation of the Wharf for securing the Hydroplane at St. Nicholas Mole.
The Ministries of the Merchant Shipping, and Transport have given their approval. So Zakynthos, in a short period of time, should acquire another means of transport. We think this, in particular, is important, as people will now have more options for travelling. This trend is even more important, in view of turbulent comment in yesterday's newspaper, according to which, the prevailing monopoly on transport, (air and shipping), has led to a dramatic reduction of routes available, forcing Zakynthians to be trapped in the same the place! At some time soon, our island needs to escape from such a situation, and find other solutions. One of them will be the hydroplane, and we believe that, once this project becomes a reality, things will improve.
